Haiti, a stunning island nation situated in the Caribbean Sea, graces the western part of the island of Hispaniola, sharing the landmass with the Dominican Republic to the east. Covering an area of approximately 27,750 square kilometers (10,714 square miles), Haiti is home to a population of over 11 million people.

The Haitian Experience

Haiti boasts a tropical climate, characterized by warm temperatures year-round. The dry season typically spans from November to April, offering pleasant weather for exploration, while the wet season, lasting from May to October, brings occasional rainfall and the possibility of tropical storms.

The culture of Haiti is a vibrant fusion influenced by African, French, and indigenous Taíno cultures. While Haitian Creole is widely spoken, French remains the official language, reflecting the country's colonial history. Rich traditions are showcased through captivating music, rhythmic dance, and colorful festivals, such as Carnival, Fet Gede (Day of the Dead), and the Rara processions during Easter.
